ABOUT ME
Hi, I’m Jen.
Certified Grief coach,
educator, and
grieving daughter.
I know what it feels like to lose someone you love — not once, but twice. That experience is at the heart of everything I do.
My Story
Grief lives in the small moments, not just the big ones.
I lost my dad unexpectedly in January 2011, and my mum after a long cancer battle in December 2017. Both times, my world changed completely.
As I moved through my own grief, I started noticing things that weren’t in the books — not just the big moments like getting married or having my children without them there, but the small ones too. Wanting to ring my mum to vent about a rude shop assistant. Wishing I could ask my dad how to make his Macaroni Cheese. Seeing a show advertised and knowing exactly who I’d want to take.
Grief lives in those small moments just as much as the big ones. And it doesn’t follow a timeline.

There’s no order or timeline to feelings in grief.

WHY I DO THIS
Someone asked if I was a life coach. That question changed everything.
Long before I trained as a coach, people would come to me after losing someone. Friends, colleagues — and they’d often say I’d helped them see things differently, or simply feel less alone.
Eventually someone asked if I was a life coach. That question sent me looking for training, and I found the programme developed by world grief expert David Kessler. I’ve never felt more aligned with anything in my life.
My background has always been people-focused — hospitality management, housing, employment mentoring. I have a natural ability to sit with difficult conversations without shying away from them, and a genuine belief that grief can be carried rather than cured.

People-Focused Background

The person behind the work
A realist with a warm heart.
I’m a mum of two girls, a lifelong learner, and someone who genuinely loves hearing another point of view. I’m positive by nature, but I’m also a realist. I know grief has no end date. I know it can catch you off guard years later. And I know that the most helpful thing isn’t false comfort — it’s honest, compassionate company.
That’s what I bring to every session, every workshop, and every community I work with.
